Utah Vocal Arts Academy

Utah Vocal Arts Academy is a four-week young artist summer program. Laura performed as Juno in Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach as well as participated in scenes as Mistress Quickly from Falstaff by Verdi, Idamante from Idomeneo by Mozart, and Kate from The Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert and Sullivan.

Summer 2019

Boston Conservatory Opera Intensive at Valencia, Spain

Boston Conservatory Opera Intensive at Valencia is a three week young artist summer program sponsored by Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music. Laura performed in three concerts while there including scenes from works such as Little Women by Mark Adamo and Die Zauberflöte by W. A. Mozart.

Midwest Institute of Opera

The Midwest Institute of Opera produced Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II and La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini. Laura was the understudy for Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, performing scenes as a part of a recital during the program. She was a member of the chorus in both operas.

Summer 2018

SongFest in Los Angeles, California

SongFest is a month of intensive training focusing on Art Song including master classes, concerts, coachings, and voice lessons. Many prominent artists and composers attend to train young professionals, young artists, and studio artists. Laura participated in the young artist program.

Patti and Alan Herbert Frost School of Music in Salzburg, Austria

The Frost School of Music in Salzburg is sponsored by the University of Miami. Participants study Art Song and Mozart in Austria during the Salzburg Music Festival. The program includes voice lessons, coachings, master classes, and recitals with the ability to attend the festival’s events. This year, Laura and the other artists performed as part of the festival in Mozartplatz.
